The Weinstein Company holds the rights to Dustin Hoffman’s first film as a director. «Quartet» is a comedy set in a home for retired opera singers. The cast so far includes Maggie Smith, Michael Gambon, Tom Courtnenay and Pauline Collins.
Jonah Hill, whom we’re used to seeing in comedies, joins the cast of Scorsese’s film The Wolf of Wall Street, starring alongside Leonardo Di Caprio. The film was adapted from Jordan Delfort’s memoir by Terence Winter, who was a writer on The Sopranos and the creator of Boardwalk Empire.
Brad Bird is teaming up with producer Damon Lindelof, co-creator of Lost. The director of The Incredibles, Ratatouille and Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol is to direct a Sci-Fi project entitled 1952.
